About
St. Fergal’s Parish
A Living Community
In 1980 the present church was built, to replace the Nissan Hut church/school on Boghall Road. Pope John Paul 11 blessed the foundation stone during his visit to Maynooth the previous year.
The Franciscan Order handed the administration of the parish back to the Archdiocese in June 2000, because of lack of personnel. Since then the parish has been administered by diocesan priests.

Carmelite Convent Delgany
It is indeed a very sad occasion when we have to say goodbye to a special part of religious life in our area. The Carmelite Sisters and the Monastery in Delgany, have been a great source of comfort and strength over many years to the people of Co. Wicklow. As the Nuns are leaving the Convent shortly, Sr Gwen Collins and the Sisters have very kindly donated their beautiful statue of The Sacred Heart to St Fergal’s, and we wish to express our sincere gratitude for their kindness. The statue will be put in place shortly, at the back of the Church, and In the meantime, we would like to say a very BIG “Thank You” to the Community and to wish all of the Sisters, Good Health, and Blessings for the future
Fr Larry
